Gilded Pearls
A friend gave a copy of both books for Mother’s Day as she knows that I am a fan of Carol Gee’s books. I read the little one Gilded Pearls first. I loved it. I have made the rice pudding recipe in the book twice. I used golden raisins.

I loved Gilded Pearls. It is off the chain! I made the bread pudding. It was real easy and you can make it with stuff you already have on hand. I used fruit cocktail as I didn’t have any raisins. It was delicious. I have already told a lot of women about it.

Random Notes
Still reading Random Notes, savoring it and laughing. Was reading it and laughing when my little seven year old granddaughter asked me what I was laughing at. Love her sense of humor. Her books are like having a conversation with a girl friend.
